This role is a senior technical architecture position focused on designing, guiding, and delivering complex application and hosting solutions within a mission-driven healthcare technology environment. You will act as a key architectural authority across account domains, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. The position blends hands-on technical leadership with advisory responsibilities, including participation in architecture review boards and change advisory boards. You will collaborate closely with developers, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and high-quality solution delivery. A key part of the role involves identifying risks, providing recommendations, and driving DevOps and deployment excellence. This role is responsible for providing architectural leadership, technical guidance, and solution oversight across application domains while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and client needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across account domains, maintaining a holistic view of application architecture and system interactions.
- Design, implement, and optimize technical processes, including DevOps pipelines and solution deployment frameworks.
- Participate in architecture review boards and change advisory boards to evaluate and approve technical solutions and changes.
- Provide high-level analysis, design reviews, and recommendations to prevent duplication of effort and ensure architectural consistency.
- Conduct technical research, testing, evaluation, and documentation of hosting and configuration tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with application developers, product teams, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and releases.
- Support escalation processes and participate in resolving complex, non-routine technical issues (Level 4 support).
- Work with third-party vendors to integrate external applications into enterprise platforms while ensuring compliance with standards.
- Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure system stability and performance.
- Contribute to the development of architectural requirements and long-term technical strategy.
This role requires extensive application architecture experience, strong technical breadth, and the ability to lead complex system design and integration efforts in enterprise environments.
- 8+ years of experience in application architecture, software engineering, or product development.
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience with software systems, application design principles, and enterprise architecture methodologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, hardware, and distributed system environments.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment processes.
- Experience working with mainframe systems, scheduling tools, and hybrid enterprise infrastructures.
- Ability to evaluate technical vendors, platforms, and integration approaches across complex ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-impact or escalated scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities to support junior and mid-level engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
