We are seeking Bakery Maintenance Engineers to join our hard working and fast-paced team. Bakery Maintenance Engineers will perform required repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned in an orderly, timely, and cost-conscious manner on a variety of bakery production equipment, freezers, and/or facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on bakery production equipment and facility systems, including mechanical and electrical components
- Maintain equipment efficiency and productivity to reduce downtime and operational disruptions
- Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance and line stoppage calls, including emergency repairs
- Complete maintenance tasks within required time frames to support production schedules
- Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Follow all federal, state, and company safety requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation
- Prepare detailed and accurate parts request forms
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations to Engineering Management and the Chief Engineer
- Support maintenance operations across all departments and areas as needed
- Proactively identify maintenance needs and suggest improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Union‑represented position (Local 302)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and adapt to changing production needs
- Previous experience in similar maintenance of production line equipment and facilities is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed
