Ultrasound Technologist in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates Ultrasound equipment in the ultrasound department to produce high quality, diagnostic images and guided diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures to aid in patient diagnosis. Takes leadership role in the absence of the senior technologist, to include supervisory and coordinator in the performance and operation of the department. Supports and maintains University Health's protocols, values, and mission, to include excellent customer service initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) to include RVT or equivalent is required. A Bachelor degree in Science or equivalent is preferred. Two years of vascular scanning and four years of general scanning experience are required. Must meet clinical ladder criteria and hold current Certified BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) from the American Heart Association is required.
