The Purpose of your role:

  • Collaborate with the Service Manager
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect and overhaul a wide variety of rotating equipment specializing in centrifugal end suction, multistage and submersible pumps
  • Complete detailed inspection forms and recommendations for the repair work scope required
  • Support field site activities for both repair and new pump commissioning and start up activities

Your Daily tasks:

  • Ensure all service work is preformed professionally, in a timely & efficient manner to guarantee customer satisfaction
  • Work in an organized and controlled manner with a team or independently to carry out in-house and onsite pump repairs
  • Complete on-site installation inspections, start-ups and commissioning of new and repaired equipment
  • Conduct in-house repairs on a wide variety of customer supplied rotating equipment
  • Complete detailed inspection findings on inspection forms and recommendations for repair work required
  • Initiates development and use of procedures and safe work practices
  • Complete detailed field service inspection reports and start-ups forms
  • Conduct precision measuring of critical tolerances and non-destructive electrical testing on electric motors
  • Comply with all safety measures outlined by the company for all work processes
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication skills both externally with customers and internally with colleagues
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure accurate and profitable quotations and correct repair work scope required
  • Ensure continuous improvement of technical knowledge, both related to pump theory and product development. Attend and participate in promotional events and training seminars as required
  • Support and resolve customer issues by responding to their requests for any services they may require

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years’ mechanical experience with centrifugal pumps is an asset
  • Millwright Certification or Technical Trades Diploma with 3-5 years mechanical experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a mechanical tradesman
  • Strong mechanical competence with centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment
  • Machining and/ or electrical background knowledge is an asset
  • Computer literate, Highly organized, Knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication skills and time management
  • Willing to travel within the Western Provinces with some expectation for weekend work

Pay:

  • $38.00$ - 43.00 per hour dependent on experience

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime

Experience:

  • Pump Service: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Millwright Certification (required)
