Position Title: Instructor
Dynamis is seeking an instructor to teach the Air Force Inspection Agencys (AFIA)s Readiness Exercise Advanced Planning, Execution, and Reporting (REAPER) Course and Inspector General Training Course (IGTC) in support of Air Force readiness exercise and inspector general training.
AFIA is at the forefront of a Service effort to solidify a dependable process to effectively design, execute, and evaluate an Air and Space Force unit readiness exercise with enough rigor that exercise results can validate unit readiness reporting in authoritative reporting databases, such as the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). To accomplish this mission, AFIA supports the instruction of Air and Space Force Command (MAJCOM/FLDCOM) and Unit (WG/Delta) Inspector General personnel in designing, executing and evaluating readiness exercises through REAPER and IGTC.
The REAPER course was developed utilizing CJCSM 3500.03E Joint Training Manual for the Armed Forces, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), Air Force Inspector General (IG) guidance (primarily, AFI 90-201), Air Force Operations Planning and Execution policy, and DoD and Air Force emergency management (EM) guidance. Students depart REAPER with an understanding of how DAF units generate to support deployable missions and the skills to design, plan, execute and report inspector general assessments of unit performance in readiness-based exercise events
The IGTC course was developed through examination of key work processes involved in Inspector General operational and strategic risk assessments, with focus on compliance and mission impact as it pertains to readiness and providing student-centered and instructor facilitated inspection training and risk analysis as an evolution of the existing DAF-developed program. Through a combination of computer-based academic training and experiential activities, Inspectors General depart the course with risk-based critical thinking mindset and a better understanding of how to implement policy guidance in accordance with their commanders intent.
Work will be performed on-site at Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB) in Albuquerque, NM. Occasional CONUS travel will be required to instruct as part of a mobile training team (MTT).
Responsibilities:
- Instruct Wing/Delta and Command-level REAPER courses in residence at Kirtland AFB or as part of an MTT
- Assist in the update of instructional materials as directed by AFIA or in response to student feedback
- Support administrative tasks, to include managing and updating SharePoint databases, printing exercise documentation, and performing registration and data collection roles as assigned
- Manage training logistics, to include participant lists, venue, security, and access requirements
- Develop and submit after action reports for each class instructed in coordination with AFIA
- Ensure that client services and deliverables are delivered on time and at the quality levels required by the contract and expected of Dynamis
- Proactively identify emerging risks, problems, and issues; take steps to rectify them and/or seek contract, portfolio, and corporate leadership assistance if needed.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- 5-10 years of experience in IG, EM, or Wing Inspection Team/Exercise Evaluation Team duties in a military service
- 3-5 years of instructional experience
- Occasional CONUS travel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, to include familiarity with SharePoint
- Knowledge of Air Force operations planning, execution, and readiness reporting preferred
- HSEEP certification preferred
- NIMS / ICS certifications preferred
- Instructor or Instructional System Design (ISD) certification preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe Captivate and/or other eLearning content development software preferred
