Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for material handling and supporting production flow throughout the facility during night shift operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient production by ensuring materials are moved, staged, loaded, and delivered where needed to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.
This position will regularly operate forklifts and assist CNC production by loading and unloading materials, supporting machine workflow, and helping minimize downtime between jobs. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Night Shift Material Handler will work closely with production leadership and operators to maintain workflow, support production output, and ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Compensation: $19/hour
Key Responsibilities
· Operate forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the shift to move raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and production materials.
· Load, unload, stage, and organize materials to support production flow and minimize downtime.
· Supply CNC operators and production areas with required materials throughout the shift.
· Assist with loading and unloading CNC cutting equipment as needed to maintain continuous operation.
· Monitor material levels and communicate shortages or production concerns to leadership.
· Maintain organized material storage areas and keep production spaces clean and efficient.
· Assist with identifying and preparing production jobs based on schedules and work orders.
· Support shipping, receiving, and internal material movement as needed.
· Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating requirements.
· Assist with additional manufacturing and production support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
· Previous forklift experience required.
· Ability to safely operate forklifts in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
· Ability to lift and handle materials consistently throughout the workday.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC workflow and production processes.
· Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
· CNC or machine support experience preferred, but not required.
