Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring Servers for their Summer Student Program!

The shift is PRN (as needed) for Days, Weekends and Evenings.
Pay: $16.00/hour
16 - 20 hours per 2 week pay period required.

• Provide food and beverage service in dining room
• Serve residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitality
• Models a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
• Friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
• Ensure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
• Maintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hours
• Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, etc.
• Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including workstations
• Clean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining area
• Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisor’s instructions
• Assists with any special events as assigned
• Reset tables to specifications with clean pressed linen
• Fold and sort silverware and napkins for dining room
• Set-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of service
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current High School or College students
• 6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience preferred, not required
• Experience in customer service preferred, not required
• Food Handlers certification will be required before starting
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to be patient and gracious with residents
• Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays
