Planisware Technical Expert

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a RPlanisware Technical Expert based in India.

This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing, customizing, and optimizing Planisware E7 solutions within a complex enterprise environment. You will play a key role in driving Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system capabilities, enabling scalable digital project execution and integration across business-critical platforms such as SAP and cloud ecosystems. The position involves deep hands-on development, architecture enhancement, and system modernization, including APIs, automation, and reporting solutions. You will collaborate with global development, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure robust, secure, and high-performing Planisware implementations. The role also contributes to strategic transformation initiatives, including upgrades, blue-green deployments, and cloud enablement. Operating in a fast-paced engineering environment, you will influence best practices, mentor teams, and help shape the long-term evolution of enterprise PPM systems.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the design, development, and operational stability of Planisware E7 environments while ensuring high-quality customization and integration across enterprise systems. You will act as a key technical authority supporting both development and operations teams, ensuring scalable and secure PPM solutions.

  • Lead customization and advanced development on Planisware E7, including scripting, macros, and workflow enhancements
  • Design and implement system integrations using REST APIs, oData services, LDAP, OAuth2, and SAP interfaces
  • Manage end-to-end system upgrades, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance optimization activities
  • Develop automation solutions using batch scripting for scheduling, deployment, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee reporting architecture, including custom report generation and dedicated reporting server setup
  • Support deployment strategies including blue-green architecture, cloud hosting, and database import/export processes
  • Guide development teams on coding standards, architecture design, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure platform stability, monitoring, and incident resolution
  • Mentor engineers and support capability building across development and support functions
Requirements

This role requires strong technical expertise in Planisware PPM platforms combined with integration, cloud, and enterprise architecture knowledge. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in E7 customization and system-level troubleshooting within large-scale environments.

  • 10–15 years of Planisware development experience with strong expertise in Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Planisware E7 customization, scripting, and architecture design
  • Strong experience integrating Planisware with SAP and external systems using REST APIs and enterprise protocols
  • Proficiency in oData APIs, REST client development, LDAP, and OAuth2-based authentication frameworks
  • Experience in batch scripting, automation, scheduling, and operational optimization
  • Strong knowledge of system upgrades, patching, debugging, and performance troubleshooting
  • Experience working with cloud environments (including AWS) and understanding of hosting Planisware solutions
  • Familiarity with blue-green deployment models, security practices, and data protection standards
  • Ability to lead technical teams and mentor developers in architecture, coding standards, and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with stakeholder management capabilities
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, Git/GitHub, and monitoring/security scanning tools is an advantage
  • Planisware certification (specialist level or higher) preferred
