Position Overview:

• Responsible for the overall delivery of resident care and the effective functioning of the unit as designated by the Director of Nursing.
• Supervises RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other Nursing Service employees. Assists with scheduling of employees
• Evaluates outcomes of care to assure that nursing activities have met minimum standards of care.
• Possesses leadership and management skills by exercising sound professional judgment and ethical behavior in decision-making and performance of responsibilities.
• Coordinates orientation and training of new employees.
• Participates in nursing staff disciplinary action process.
• Must be a positive role model by demonstrating professional practice and behavior, being competent in all areas under his/her direction.

Position Highlights:

• Shift Differentials: $4 - $10 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Knowledgeable of the standards of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and Federal Medicare and Medicaid regulations for long term care.
• Preferably two years of clinical experience in an acute care setting and/or long-term care setting.
• BLS Certification
