Hours- M-F 6pm-10pm, Sat-Sun 10am-5pm/ 3pm-11pm.

POSITION OVERVIEW

ACDP Cornerstone Evening Supervisor/Weekend Supervisor manages and oversees the evening and weekend teen/adult programs at Cornerstone facilities. The Evening Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of program activities, supervises staff and maintains a safe and engaging environment for guests, participants and staff.

  • Oversee the center’s operation and ensure a safe and positive environment for teens. This includes enforcing rules/policies, managing and de-escalate conflicts and responding to emergencies.
  • Assist in planning and development of activities, events and programs for teens by considering their interests and needs.
  • Facilitate professional developments for staff and conduct onboarding processes with new hires.
  • Supervise staff, interns and volunteers and ensure that they are trained, engaged and perform their assigned duties effectively.
  • Effectively communicate with teens, families and other stakeholders, building positive relationships and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities and incidents.
  • Input data onto DYCD Connect and communicate with DYCD program managers and deputies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate and manage events, including planning, logistics and execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand opportunities for program participants and families.
  • Clean, organize and maintain workspace and shared spaces throughout the facility.
  • Coordinate community relations efforts and participate in outreach activities.
  • Assist in the planning, organization and execution of community events.
  • Other assignments as required by the program director.
  • Follow administrative and governmental safety and personnel policies, procedures, and ordinances.
  • Understanding of all files and Program Development and compliance from OCFS, DOH and DYCD.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college or college degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience working with middle school and high school youths in a supervisory role.
  • Valid CPR/AED and First Aid certification through recognized accrediting body preferred
  • Familiarity with DYCD Connect is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Willingness to promote educational and youth development philosophy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with ACDP staff.
