Maintenance Technician in Jersey City, New Jersey at PRC Management Co., Inc.

PRC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician for our luxury residential high-rise in Jersey City. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, making repairs and taking pride in keeping a residential property operating and looking its best.

This is a hands-on maintenance position, not a supervisory or live-in role. There is no on-call rotation.

• Complete resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and drywall
• Perform painting, patching and other general repairs
• Assist with apartment turnovers and make-ready work
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections
• Help maintain common areas and building systems
• Identify issues requiring specialized service and communicate repair needs to management
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents

• At least one year of hands-on residential, apartment or building maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and general repairs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable performing maintenance and repairs directly, rather than primarily supervising others or coordinating vendors
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet the physical requirements of the position

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience
