The Kitchen Team works in a fun and fast-paced environment focused on delivering delicious local food that makes our hungry customers happy. The Assistant Bakery Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Bakery by leading production efforts, training staff and ensuring high quality products.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Assists PF Bakery Manager with day-to-day operations, supervision of Bakery team, by ensuring high quality and consistent baked goods through training, recipe development and hands on production
• Assumes responsibility of overall department operations in absence of manager
• Manages the PF Bakery team in the overall performance, efficiency and profitable operations of the PF Kitchen
• Intentionally trains all new Bakery staff utilizing a variety of tools; regularly checks in on training progress and intervenes to retrain as needed
• Provides thorough and ongoing coaching to improve staff speed and accuracy of tasks, product knowledge and work efficiency
• Maintains in depth awareness of sales and loss metrics; adjusts production numbers to achieve financial goals while minimizing waste
• Helps to identify and propose solution for reducing COGS and increasing the overall profitability of their department
• Works with PF Bakery Manager to develop and implement production and quality goals and standards relating to the Kitchen
• Communicates promptly to other Bakery Leadership at the main facility if issues with a product or timing of a product
• Sets the pace in the Kitchen each shift by producing a high volume of product; models efficiency in all tasks & trains team on pace and time management
• Creates daily & weekly workflows & prep/production lists aligned to sales forecasts & data to promote minimized loss and optimized sales

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS?

AGE/AVAILABILITY

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Minimum 1 year Food Service experience required
• Must be available during regular business hours; weekends required

• Must have reliable transportation and report for work in a timely manner.
