Description: HTI is hiring an Automation Technician for a manufacturer in Thomasville, NC. These Direct Hire positions pay $44.45–$46.01 per hour, depending on experience. Positions work 12-hour days or nights on a fixed 2-2-3 rotation, with openings on both shifts: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.

What You Need:

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
• 5+ recent years in industrial electrical and automation installation, maintenance, and repair
• Strong PLC, HMI, VFD, and process-control troubleshooting
• Experience with industrial networks and instrumentation
• Ability to read schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation
• Knowledge of electrical codes, diagnostic tools, and CAD software
• Ability to travel for training as needed

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Automation Technician will diagnose complex control problems, maintain automation systems, and complete small projects that improve equipment and process performance.

• Troubleshoot, install, configure, and replace automation controls and variable frequency drives.
• Resolve control-loop and PID performance issues.
• Diagnose industrial network and control-system communication problems.
• Install and calibrate temperature, flow, pressure, and other process instruments.
• Manage small projects through parts ordering, installation, programming, testing, and documentation.
• Provide technical support to production and on-the-job training to coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures in areas with noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and climb or work at heights up to 100 feet.
