Position Summary
The Medical Assistant works within their training and scope of practice to support providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an efficient and compassionate manner.

Clinical Patient Care
• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Collect and update patient health information in the EHR.
• Administer injections and perform basic clinical tests and procedures.
• Assist with medication refills.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient care areas.

Care Coordination & Patient Support
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and prior authorizations.
• Collaborate with providers and care team members to address patient needs.
• Help patients navigate barriers to care, including insurance, transportation, and pharmacy access.
• Support whole-person care through coordination with interdisciplinary team members.

Preventive Care & Health Promotion
• Support preventive care initiatives and patient outreach.
• Review immunization status and assist with preventive health measures.
• Provide patient education on medications, disease management, nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyles.
• Assist with efforts to improve health outcomes and patient engagement.

Qualifications
Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Certification:
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration through an approved national credentialing organization required.
• Current BLS (CPR for Healthcare Workers) certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Experience: Previous experience preferred but not required.
