This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Engenheira de Dados Sênior - Data & AI based in Brazil.

This is a senior opportunity at the intersection of Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
You will design and evolve data pipelines that power decision engines, autonomous agents, and Generative AI applications.
The role combines advanced engineering with the development of RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks, and AI quality mechanisms.
You will help establish standards for reliability, resilience, observability, and continuous delivery across intelligent solutions.
The position offers significant technical influence in defining architectures and engineering practices for AI initiatives.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and evolve corporate frameworks for intelligent agents and AI-powered applications.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines supporting decision engines, autonomous agents, and Generative AI solutions.
  • Design feedback loops that continuously improve the quality, performance, and accuracy of AI agents.
  • Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and contextual retrieval mechanisms.
  • Structure and automate evaluation frameworks to measure the quality, accuracy, reliability, and performance of AI applications.
  • Develop automated functional tests and quality assurance mechanisms for data pipelines, agents, and AI components.
  • Establish standards for resilience, reliability, availability, traceability, and observability across data and intelligent application workflows.
  • Implement and improve CI/CD practices for data pipelines and AI components.
  • Ensure the quality and availability of data used by decision engines and enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate on architectural standards, engineering practices, and technical guidelines for Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
  • Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of distributed applications and data environments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education.
  • Extensive experience in Data Engineering and the development of data pipelines in corporate environments.
  • Practical knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and agent-oriented architectures, including Agentic AI concepts.
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Experience building evaluation and monitoring pipelines for AI applications.
  • Strong experience with automated testing, software quality, and validation of data workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
  • Advanced Python skills applied to Data Engineering and AI solutions.
  • Extensive experience with APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting for distributed applications.
  • Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and tools such as Azure DevOps and ArgoCD is desirable.
  • Experience with infrastructure and process automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Shell Script for automation and solution development is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and metrics analysis is advantageous.
  • Experience designing business-oriented observability models focused on strategic and operational indicators is a strong differentiator.
