Position Title: OPMobility Material Handler

Location: South Carolina

Job Summary
$18-$19 / hr
A shift: 7a-6p
B shift: 7p-6a
Weekend availability required

Material Handlers support production and logistics by moving materials, operating forklifts and cranes, preparing molds, and ensuring the flow of materials to and from machines. This role maintains safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing and injection molding operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and cranes to move materials, racks, and molds
• Ensure correct materials are delivered to machines and workstations
• Scan and label racks for inventory and WIP tracking
• Monitor SILOs and ensure machines do not run out of material
• Move and empty scrap racks; prepare plastic waste for disposal
• Preheat and stage molds for mold changes; perform basic mold prep
• Perform TPM/PM and minor equipment checks
• Follow safety, environmental, and company procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Maintain accurate records and complete location transfers in SAP/scanner
• Support hazardous materials handling after training
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S/6S principles)
• Work collaboratively with team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Forklift Driver (or ability to become certified)
• Crane certification (or ability to become certified)
• Ability to operate scanners and basic computer skills
• Understanding of injection molding processes preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Schedule flexibility; ability to work any shift and overtime as needed
• Team-oriented, punctual, and able to work under pressure

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, climbing
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Finger dexterity, close work, good vision and color vision, hearing, and speaking ability
• Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and fast-paced environments
