Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare tables and scales for meat processing operations

- Feed meat into slicers and other equipment with care and precision

- Grade meat products according to quality standards

- Weigh meat portions accurately

- Lift and handle trays of meat safely and efficiently

- Use knives to trim and prepare meat for packaging

- Operate vacuum packaging machines to seal meat into packages

- Use an x-ray machine for quality control and safety inspections

- Sweep and squeegee work areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation

- Wash utensils, scales, and door handles to ensure a hygienic environment

- Operate dishwashers for cleaning utensils and equipment

- Obtain and maintain forklift certification for safe material handling

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in meat processing or a similar environment preferred

- Ability to operate slicing, weighing, and packaging equipment

- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food processing

- Ability to lift heavy trays and stand for extended periods

- Proficiency in using knives and trimming tools

- Willingness to operate machinery such as vacuum sealers and x-ray machines

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
