We are looking for a highly analytical Data Analyst to play a key role in a large-scale data migration initiative from Oracle to Snowflake. In this position, you will help ensure the seamless transition of critical data assets by translating, optimizing, and validating complex SQL queries while maintaining data integrity and performance. You will collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand data dependencies, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support data quality efforts. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, fully remote environment where precision, problem-solving, and collaboration are highly valued. The ideal candidate thrives in complex data ecosystems and enjoys transforming business requirements into reliable, scalable data solutions.

Accountabilities
  • Analyze existing Oracle SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to understand business requirements and support migration activities.
  • Quickly develop a deep understanding of database relationships, data dependencies, and business logic embedded within existing systems.
  • Rewrite, optimize, and validate SQL queries for Snowflake while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
  • Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to verify that migrated data and query outputs align with expected Oracle results.
  • Collaborate with business users, analysts, and development teams to clarify requirements, resolve discrepancies, and improve data quality.
  • Apply Snowflake best practices related to query optimization, performance tuning, and data validation.
  • Support data transformation and reconciliation activities using data blending tools when applicable.
  • Coordinate effectively with distributed and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of migration processes, testing procedures, query transformations, and validation results.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role supporting data migration, analytics, or database modernization projects.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, with extensive experience working in both Oracle and Snowflake environments.
  • Ability to interpret and translate complex business logic embedded within SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and dependency mapping.
  • Experience conducting data validation, reconciliation, testing, and troubleshooting activities during migration projects.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake-specific features, SQL functions, performance optimization techniques, and development best practices.
  • Experience with data blending and transformation tools such as Alteryx is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Benefits
  • 100% remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Immediate project start with the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact data migration initiative.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Exposure to modern cloud data technologies and enterprise-scale migration projects.
  • Collaborative and supportive remote work environment.
  • Opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and broaden technical expertise.
  • Professional growth through hands-on experience with Oracle, Snowflake, and advanced data validation processes.
