Post Closing Specialist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Post Closing Specialist in Brazil.

This role is focused on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and completeness of residential mortgage loan files after closing, supporting smooth settlement and booking into secondary market systems. You will play a key part in reviewing loan documentation against underwriting and investor guidelines, identifying discrepancies, and clearing post-close exceptions. The position requires strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of mortgage processes, as you will help ensure loans meet regulatory and quality control standards. Working in a structured but fast-paced environment, you will coordinate with internal teams and external investors to manage trailing documents and audit requirements. You will also support reconciliation processes and ensure financial and documentation alignment across systems. This is a critical operational role that directly impacts loan quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:
  • Perform post-closing audit reviews of residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
  • Prepare loan files for secondary market audits, booking, and settlement processes.
  • Review mortgage files against quality control checklists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile HUD/Settlement Statements and ensure proper alignment within internal systems.
  • Manage disbursement processes for residential mortgage loans in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate and track trailing documents with external investors and internal stakeholders.
  • Mail customer survey letters and support post-closing customer communication activities.
  • Provide responsive and professional support to both internal teams and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, post-closing, or related financial services roles.
  • Strong understanding of conventional and government residential mortgage loans and investor guidelines.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in documentation review and compliance validation.
  • Experience working with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly compensation ($20–$22/hour, depending on experience).
  • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work with hybrid option in select locations.
  • Access to standard employee benefits package (healthcare and related coverage, depending on eligibility).
  • Opportunity to work in a structured mortgage operations environment with exposure to secondary market processes.
  • Experience working with compliance-driven financial documentation and audit workflows.
  • Professional growth within the mortgage and financial services industry.
