Vice President of Software Engineering - Marketing Technology

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of Software Engineering – Marketing Technology based in the United States.

This is a senior technical leadership role at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and digital growth, responsible for building and scaling the systems that power customer acquisition and conversion at enterprise scale. You will lead high-performing engineering teams while also remaining hands-on in architecture design and software development, shaping the core platforms that drive lead generation and marketing performance. The role sits at the center of digital transformation efforts, partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Data, and Sales leaders to deliver high-impact customer experiences. You will own the evolution of marketing technology systems including CRM integrations, analytics, and conversion optimization platforms. This position requires a rare blend of executive leadership and deep technical credibility in modern, cloud-based architectures. The environment is fast-paced, data-driven, and highly focused on measurable business outcomes tied to growth and customer acquisition.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for marketing technology, customer acquisition platforms, and digital growth systems while maintaining a hands-on contribution to architecture and development.
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable systems supporting lead generation, CRM integrations, marketing automation, analytics, and conversion funnels.
  • Partner closely with Marketing leadership to improve lead quality, acquisition efficiency, and ROI through technology innovation and experimentation.
  • Own end-to-end architecture and performance of digital marketing platforms, including the company’s primary website as a core acquisition channel.
  • Drive data-driven engineering practices, including A/B testing frameworks, performance tracking, and experimentation strategies.
  • Oversee integrations across CRM systems, martech platforms, analytics tools, and third-party lead providers to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
  • Establish engineering standards for scalability, reliability, security, and rapid delivery while mentoring engineering leaders and fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles at Director or VP level.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Java, TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL, with a strong willingness to stay technically engaged.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams supporting marketing technology, digital acquisition, or high-traffic customer-facing platforms.
  • Strong expertise in modern web architectures, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms (such as Salesforce), marketing automation tools, and analytics ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Marketing and Product teams to deliver measurable growth and business impact.
  • Strong background in data-driven development, experimentation frameworks, and conversion optimization strategies.
  • Experience building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations in fast-paced, results-oriented environments.
  • Preferred experience in fintech, mortgage, or high-volume lead generation industries is a plus.
