DIXIE METAL PRODUCTS – CDL-A Driver

Dixie Metal Products (“Dixie”) is seeking a skilled and motivated CDL-A Driver responsible for making local deliveries throughout the state of Florida, ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

· Safely operate a day cab semi-truck with a 53-foot flatbed trailer.

· Transport large, heavy steel and large materials to customer locations throughout Florida.

· Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

· Secure loads by pulling and tightening straps on flatbed trailers after materials are loaded by the warehouse team.

· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

· Maintain delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch/operations personnel as necessary.

· Represent Dixie Metal Products professionally when interacting with customers.

· Light assembly required during downtime in between routes.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Valid CDL Class A license.

· 3+ years of experience, driving flatbed trailers preferred.

· Clean driving record- MVR will be pulled.

· Ability to secure loads and handle heavy-duty straps. May include lifting and climbing onto flatbeds.

· Strong commitment to safety and reliability.

· Highly ethical, positive culture addition, self-motivated.
