COOK SUPERVISOR - FT 40 Hours in Avon, Connecticut at AVON HEALTH CENTER

The successful candidate must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards to assure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Ideally you should be able to work in a fast paced environment, be very detail oriented and work well under pressure. This is a 40-hour per week position including every other weekend and some holidays.

The ideal candidate:

• Must be familiar with altered texture diets
• Must be comfortable supervising staff on some shifts
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, staff and government personnel
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• Lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions
• ServSafe is a plus!
• Should have 1-2 years of cooking experience including scratch cooking and experience with purees
• Must communicate Well
• Must be able to work independently and as a team
