Quantitative Finance Expert - AI Training & Evaluation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Quantitative Finance Expert - AI Training & Evaluation based in the United States.

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply deep financial expertise to the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems focused on financial reasoning. You will work on assessing, validating, and improving AI-generated outputs across quantitative finance, investment analysis, and risk modeling use cases. Operating in a remote and flexible environment, you will contribute to high-impact projects that help refine the accuracy, logic, and reliability of AI-driven financial insights. The position is ideal for experienced finance professionals who enjoy analytical problem-solving and want to engage with cutting-edge AI technology in a project-based setting. You will collaborate with global teams to evaluate complex financial scenarios and ensure high-quality model performance. This is a short-term, contract-based engagement designed to provide both flexibility and exposure to innovative AI applications in finance.

Accountabilities
  • Create, review, and refine finance-related prompts, scenarios, and analytical tasks used for AI training and evaluation.
  • Evaluate AI-generated financial outputs for accuracy, reasoning quality, and relevance to real-world financial decision-making.
  • Apply subject matter expertise in investment banking, FP&A, quantitative finance, or related fields to assess model performance.
  • Review financial models, assumptions, calculations, and recommendations to identify errors, inconsistencies, or gaps.
  • Provide structured feedback to improve the quality, logic, and reliability of AI financial reasoning systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure consistency, quality standards, and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement of AI systems by contributing domain expertise and analytical insights.
Requirements

This role requires strong quantitative and financial expertise combined with the ability to critically evaluate complex analytical outputs in a remote, detail-oriented environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in quantitative finance, investment banking, FP&A, risk analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and/or quantitative methods.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly explain financial reasoning in written English.
  • CFA, MBA, or other relevant certifications (CFA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience reviewing financial research, technical analysis, or structured reports is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI, data annotation, or model evaluation work is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment with strong time management skills.
