This role focuses on producing high-quality technical and production-ready design drawings for custom pool systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will translate customer requirements into detailed design plans that support both approval processes and production execution.
The position combines technical drafting expertise with precision, ensuring all designs meet regulatory, safety, and company standards.
You will work closely with internal teams and dealers to deliver accurate, efficient, and buildable design outputs.
A strong emphasis is placed on CAD proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design requests simultaneously.
You will contribute to the creation of innovative pool solutions that help bring backyard design concepts to life.
This is a hands-on technical design role within a collaborative and quality-driven production environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and ensuring design compliance for production-ready pool systems.
- Produce Level A and Level B technical drawings, including approval and production-ready design files
- Develop presentation drawings and blueprint layouts for custom pool configurations
- Use CAD-based tools (including AutoCAD and proprietary Latham software) to create precise design outputs
- Ensure all designs meet customer requirements while adhering to ANSI/APSP/ICC-5 and ISPSC standards
- Identify and correct product or design inconsistencies before submission to production workflows
- Upload and manage design files within internal configurator and request systems
- Review and process assigned design requests through electronic queues and ensure timely completion
- Submit finalized design packages for quality review and approval
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and production alignment
- Perform additional design-related tasks as needed to support operational needs
This role requires strong technical drafting skills, CAD proficiency, and the ability to deliver accurate work in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in design or related field preferred
- Experience in technical design, drafting, or a related field (pool or construction industry experience is an asset)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple design requests and meet deadlines under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and general computer systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment when required
- Competitive hourly compensation: $23.98 – $25.18 (based on experience and location factors)
