This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of a next-generation network security platform. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced test strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and drive quality engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle. Working closely with globally distributed engineering teams, you will contribute to highly secure, high-performance networking solutions while mentoring fellow engineers and championing continuous improvement. - Define and own the end-to-end testing strategy for complex networking solutions, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functionality, APIs, scalability, performance, interoperability, and security.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks, reusable libraries, and testing tools using Python and modern automation technologies.
- Lead API, CLI, and system-level automation initiatives while expanding automated coverage for functional and non-functional testing scenarios.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to incorporate quality engineering principles early in the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with software development, quality engineering, support, and cross-functional teams to investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, verify fixes, and improve product quality.
- Support production issue investigations by reproducing customer-reported scenarios, collecting diagnostic information, and validating resolutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and introduce innovative testing methodologies, frameworks, and automation techniques.
- Evaluate emerging testing tools and technologies to continuously improve automation efficiency, software quality, and engineering productivity.
- Contribute to end-to-end validation of integrated networking solutions across multiple infrastructure components and environments.
- 8–12 years of professional experience in software quality engineering, including at least 6 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Strong experience testing networking products such as firewalls, routers, switches, or related network infrastructure solutions.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts and application-layer protocols.
- Advanced proficiency in Python-based automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or similar technologies, with experience developing reusable testing libraries.
- Hands-on experience testing REST and gRPC APIs using automation frameworks, Postman, or comparable tools.
- Experience across the complete software testing lifecycle, including functional, integration, performance, scalability, security, and system testing.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis skills for complex distributed systems.
- Good working knowledge of Linux environments, networking stacks, and kernel fundamentals.
- Experience with network traffic generation tools and automation platforms is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with security testing tools, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, Agile development practices, and AI-assisted testing tools is considered an advantage.
