Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate – Foreclosure Operations to manage and support the end-to-end foreclosure process for mortgage loans. The candidate will be responsible for handling foreclosure activities from referral through sale, redemption, post-sale, and foreclosure completion while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and client requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mortgage servicing, default management, legal timelines, and foreclosure procedures across judicial and non-judicial states.
Key Responsibilities
Foreclosure Case Management
Manage the complete foreclosure lifecycle from loan referral through foreclosure sale and post-sale activities.Review account eligibility and initiate foreclosure referrals in accordance with investor and client guidelines.Monitor bankruptcy, loss mitigation, litigation, and foreclosure holds to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.Coordinate with foreclosure attorneys, trustees, title vendors, and third-party service providers.Foreclosure Processing
Review and validate foreclosure documents, affidavits, notices, and legal pleadings.Track and manage foreclosure milestones, timelines, and statutory deadlines.Ensure timely completion of all foreclosure actions, including:ReferralTitle ReviewFirst Legal FilingService CompletionJudgmentSale SchedulingForeclosure SalePost-Sale ActivitiesDeed RecordingClaim FilingCompliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to CFPB, FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, USDA, and investor foreclosure requirements.Identify and escalate compliance risks, legal issues, and process exceptions.Maintain accurate servicing system updates and audit-ready documentation.Ensure compliance with state-specific foreclosure laws and timelines.Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of foreclosure activity within servicing platforms.Prepare foreclosure status reports and inventory tracking reports.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.Document process exceptions and resolution activities.Stakeholder Management
Partner with internal departments including:Loss MitigationBankruptcyREOLitigationEscrowCustomer ServiceCommunicate effectively with foreclosure attorneys, trustees, vendors, and clients regarding case status and escalations.Quality & Continuous Improvement
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.Support implementation of regulatory and client-driven process changes.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.1–4 years of experience in:Foreclosure OperationsMortgage ServicingDefault ServicingBankruptcy OperationsLegal Mortgage ProcessingKnowledge of end-to-end foreclosure processes and timelines.Understanding of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure states.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Preferred Qualifications
