Job Description
At Truck & Trailer, with our trusted partner, True North Fleet Services are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician. This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, quality repairs on diesel equipment and mobile fleet service.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership
Qualifications
• 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred (fleet, dealership, independent, or light mechanical shop)
• Mobile experience preferred, but not required for a shop technician
• ASE T-Series certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
