Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Safety Sensitive: Yes

Job Summary:

Maintains a clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which directly impacts on the overall guest and staff experience.

Housekeeper

Position Summary

Performs daily cleaning tasks in all SVdP locations, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces while adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Restock housekeeping supplies.
  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with priority areas and schedules assigned by supervisor.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests and staff, addressing basic concerns within scope and escalating issues as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service to guests. 
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and collaboration. 
  • Perform other duties assigned by Facilities Manager in accordance with the chain of command.

Qualifications

  • 6 + months experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role.
  • Ability to work legally in the US.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work holidays and weekends with advanced notice.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques and cleaning products.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate in English or Spanish
  • Experience following oral and written instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Able to learn health and safety regulations.
  • Able to complete bloodborne pathogen training within first week of employment.
  • Able to complete Hazardous Communication training within first week of employment.
  • Able to complete ergonomics and safe lifting training within first week of employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and repetitive motions for up to 8 hours.

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand, walk, sit, and bend ability to lift to 40 lbs.
