Description:

The Front Desk / Member Services representative serves as a primary point of contact for Detroit Golf Club members, their families, guests, and visitors. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression while providing knowledgeable, personalized service throughout each interaction.

The position manages incoming calls and communications, assists members with questions and requests, coordinates reservations and appointments, provides information regarding club activities and amenities, and supports the Membership and Communications Department with administrative and member service needs.

Requirements:

· Welcome and greet members, families, guests, and visitors in a warm and professional manner.

· Answer incoming telephone calls, transfer calls to the appropriate department or staff member, and take accurate messages.

· Provide members and guests with information regarding club amenities, hours of operation, events, activities, dining, golf, tennis, pool, and other club services.

· Assist members with dining and event reservations, appointments, and general club requests.

· Maintain accurate member and guest records, including guest visits and other applicable information.

· Assist members with special requests, including arranging calls, holding packages or letters, and coordinating information with appropriate club departments.

· Support the Membership and Communications Department with new member materials, communications, mailings, and special projects.

· Maintain current supplies of club information, brochures, forms, and member materials at the front desk.

· Sort and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail and overnight services.

· Maintain an organized, clean, and professional reception and lobby area.

· Assist with the coordination and communication of daily club activities and events.

· Assist with meal, function, golf, tennis, or other reservations as assigned.

· Assist with member-family relations, including birthday greetings, anniversary cards, thank-you notes, get-well messages, flowers, and other member recognition initiatives.

· Manage the club's lost and found program.

· Assist with assembling new member, membership, and catering packets.

· Maintain accurate membership mailing and telephone lists as directed.

· Perform general administrative duties including filing, word processing, copying, scanning, and other office functions.

· Maintain front desk supplies and assist with inventory control.

· Monitor the reception area and report unauthorized visitors or security concerns to the appropriate manager.

· Assist with member concerns and requests, escalating issues to the appropriate department or manager when necessary.

· Maintain confidentiality of member information and club business.

· Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership and Communications or manager on duty.
