HVAC/R Regional Vice President of Service - EAST

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HVAC/R Regional Vice President of Service - EAST based in the United States.

As Regional Vice President of Service, you will provide executive leadership across a large, multi-state service organization in the Eastern U.S.
You will oversee senior operational leaders and several hundred associates while driving safety, service excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth.
The role combines strategic planning with accountability for financial and operational performance across multiple branches and markets.
You will strengthen customer relationships, identify expansion opportunities, and partner with Sales and Business Development to accelerate regional growth.
A major focus will be developing leaders, improving operational consistency, and building scalable service capabilities.
You will work closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, budgeting, acquisitions integration, and organizational transformation.
This is a high-impact remote leadership opportunity for an experienced service executive with deep HVAC/R and field operations expertise.

Accountabilities:
  • Champion a strong safety culture across the region, ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and execute regional strategies that support revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and operational excellence.
  • Lead and provide strategic direction to Regional Directors, Service Managers, and senior operational leaders across multiple branches and markets.
  • Establish and monitor key financial and operational metrics, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, labor productivity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead regional forecasting, workforce planning, and resource allocation to support current and future business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand into underserved markets, strategic verticals, and new customer offerings.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development leaders on revenue growth initiatives and strategic account development.
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships while ensuring consistently high service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee escalation management for critical customer, operational, and employee-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational standardization, and scalable processes across the region.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, acquisitions integration, and broader organizational initiatives.
  • Lead succession planning, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development for Regional Directors and operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational discipline across the organization.
  • Promote organizational values centered on collaboration, accountability, respect, empowerment, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • MBA or other advanced business degree strongly preferred.
  • Extensive leadership experience managing large-scale service operations across multiple states or regions.
  • Proven experience leading leaders, including Regional Directors and senior operational management teams.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance, financial results, and organizational growth within a service-based business.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of service operations, field service management, labor planning, and operational scalability.
  • Significant experience with P&L ownership and the interpretation of financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, continuous improvement, and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills, including experience with large or strategic accounts.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging HVAC/R, refrigeration, and related service technologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop future organizational leaders.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
  • Ability to understand and follow company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard operational, reporting, and business systems.
