This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Analista de Dados Sênior - Prevenção à Lavagem de Dinheiro (PLD) based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to use data to strengthen compliance, risk management, and prevention of financial crime. You will work closely with Compliance leadership while maintaining a strong connection with the technical Data team. The position provides significant autonomy to design solutions, build monitoring flows, and automate processes from the ground up. You will combine advanced analytics, transaction monitoring, dashboards, and process automation to identify risks and opportunities. Your work will directly support more efficient PLD operations and better-informed business decisions. This is an ideal environment for a proactive, analytical professional who enjoys working with ambiguity, multiple stakeholders, and emerging technologies.

Accountabilities:
  • Operate and continuously improve transaction monitoring processes for prevention of money laundering, ensuring efficient coverage throughout the monthly CPF verification cycle.
  • Develop and maintain behavioral and volumetric PLD alert rules aligned with applicable regulations, including Central Bank and COAF requirements.
  • Build low-cost process automations using Google Apps Script, n8n, or similar tools for Compliance, PLD, Tax, and related operational processes, prioritizing fast solutions that do not require dedicated engineering squads.
  • Identify business challenges and opportunities that affect customers and internal teams by analyzing operational data, behavioral signals, and regulatory trends.
  • Define relevant metrics and develop dashboards that enable teams to monitor critical aspects of compliance operations and transaction monitoring.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear insights, explaining the rationale behind technical and risk-related decisions to business stakeholders.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and solutions while transferring knowledge to non-technical teams to reduce operational dependency on individual contributors.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the area by assessing team capacity, defining relevant metrics, and monitoring the value delivered by data and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including Compliance, Tax, Customer Registration, Fraud, and other business areas, balancing competing priorities and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate advanced SQL skills for manipulating, querying, and exploring large volumes of data.
  • Have practical experience with Python for complex data analysis, process automation, and data modeling.
  • Possess hands-on knowledge of Databricks and experience working with data platforms and analytical workflows.
  • Have experience automating processes with Google Apps Script, n8n, or equivalent automation tools.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar solutions.
  • Be able to translate complex data findings into clear and compelling storytelling that supports business decisions without relying on overly complex presentations.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical reasoning, comfort working with ambiguity, and the ability to formulate meaningful hypotheses from incomplete or imperfect datasets.
  • Bring a proactive and autonomous mindset, with the ability to identify risks, operational gaps, and opportunities beyond the formal scope of the role.
  • Be comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities simultaneously, particularly in environments involving Compliance, Tax, Customer Registration, Fraud, and related functions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Technology, or a related field is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Data Architecture is desirable.
  • Familiarity with projects involving Artificial Intelligence or AI Agents, whether in products or analytical environments, is a plus.
Benefits:
  • 100% remote work, with flexibility to work from anywhere in Brazil.
  • Flexible multi-benefit card covering categories such as meals, food, mobility, health, home office, culture, and education.
  • Health insurance with no coparticipation.
  • Online therapy and coaching support through Zenklub.
  • Wellhub membership to support physical and mental well-being.
  • Language-learning support through a partnership with Rosetta Stone.
  • A dedicated day off to recharge.
  • Online medical consultations through Conexa Saúde.
  • Childcare assistance.
  • Access to Alura for learning and professional development.
  • Company-provided work equipment.
  • Strong opportunities for professional growth in a growing technology environment.
  • An inclusive and collaborative culture that welcomes diverse backgrounds and encourages continuous learning.
