Consulting Solutions Architect - Modernization

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Consulting Solutions Architect - Modernization in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of solution architecture, financial consulting, and executive advisory, helping enterprise customers make high-impact technology investment decisions. You will translate complex infrastructure and modernization solutions into clear, measurable business value, enabling stakeholders to evaluate outcomes such as ROI, TCO, and risk reduction. Working closely with sales teams and solution architects, you will shape deal strategy early in the sales cycle and influence how modernization initiatives are positioned. This is a highly strategic, customer-facing role where your financial modeling and storytelling directly impact pipeline progression and deal success. You will operate in enterprise sales environments, engaging with executive stakeholders to connect technical transformation with business priorities. The role also contributes to advancing value-led selling practices across the organization.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with sales and account teams to engage customers early and drive value-based discovery discussions that uncover business drivers and decision criteria.
  • Develop and deliver financial models including TCO, ROI, NPV, cash flow, and lifecycle cost analyses to quantify business impact.
  • Translate customer challenges into measurable financial outcomes, including cost of inaction, risk exposure, and modernization benefits.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to align technical architectures with business value and executive priorities.
  • Create executive-level deliverables such as business cases, value narratives, and financial presentations to support decision-making.
  • Influence deal strategy by positioning solutions based on economic impact, lifecycle value, and competitive differentiation.
  • Support complex enterprise and subscription-based sales motions, ensuring alignment between pricing, value, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop reusable frameworks, tools, and methodologies to scale value engineering practices across sales teams.
Requirements

This role requires deep experience in consulting, solution engineering, or value engineering within enterprise technology environments, combined with strong financial modeling and executive communication skills. Candidates should be able to bridge technical architecture with business outcomes and confidently engage senior stakeholders in strategic discussions.

  • 8–12+ years of experience in solution engineering, consulting, value engineering, or related enterprise roles.
  • Strong expertise in building and presenting financial models such as TCO, ROI, and NPV.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into measurable business and financial outcomes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and influencing deal strategy.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, cloud, and data management solutions.
  • Experience with modernization strategies and lifecycle/value-based selling approaches.
  • Ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, and consulting teams in complex environments.
  • Experience with subscription, consumption, or as-a-service models preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
Benefits
  • Competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) salary range: $223,550 – $289,300 USD, based on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Retirement and pension plan options.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible leave policies.
  • Employee stock purchase plan and restricted stock unit (RSU) eligibility.
  • Life and disability insurance coverage.
  • Career development opportunities in a global enterprise environment.
  • Exposure to high-impact, strategic modernization and transformation programs.
