ROLE SUMMARYThe Landscape Installation Superintendent is responsible for overseeing multiple landscape installation crews and projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to design specifications and PureGreen quality standards. This position plays a key role in project coordination, quality control, material forecasting, crew development, and communication between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, project management experience, and the ability to oversee multiple crews while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIESCrew Leadership & Operations• Oversee the day-to-day operations of 1–4 installation crews, including direct management of one assigned crew
• Coordinate labor resources with the Landscape Installation Manager based on project workload and scheduling needs
• Ensure all crews understand daily assignments, project expectations, and safety requirements
• Lead and support crew leaders and team members while promoting productivity and accountability
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Monitor job sites to ensure work meets design specifications and PureGreen quality standards
• Ensure irrigation, plant, tree, and landscape installations are completed accurately and professionally
• Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, and project managers on job sites
• Maintain professionalism while representing PureGreen on all projects
• Address project concerns and communicate updates promptly
• Forecast and communicate irrigation material needs at least 48 hours in advance
• Forecast and communicate plant material, trees, and sod needs at least one week in advance
• Ensure crews have all necessary equipment, machinery, tools, and attachments for each project
• Assist with monitoring truck, trailer, and equipment maintenance schedules
• Order job-site materials within approved budget thresholds
• Support the training and development of crew members and crew leaders
• Assist the Landscape Installation Manager with scheduling, planning, and resource forecasting
• Communicate effectively with managers, clients, subcontractors, and team members
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, organization, and strong work ethic
• 3+ years of experience in landscape installation or construction project management preferred
• Strong understanding of landscape installation practices, irrigation systems, plant material, and blueprint reading
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Comfortable operating or supervising the use of landscape machinery and equipment
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to perform physical labor including bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching throughout the workday
Competitive annual salary based on experience
$50,000 – $65,000 annually
