Job Description
- Audit existing engineering teams and projects to uncover weaknesses in code quality, architecture, scalability, or development processes.
- Assess system design, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and best-practice adherence across multiple technologies.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve engineering standards, productivity, and maintainability.
- Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure progress and continuous improvement within teams.
- Work closely with tech leads and project managers to identify skill gaps and design improvement plans.
- Coach and mentor engineers to adopt best practices in coding, architecture, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain frameworks or checklists for ongoing technical health assessments.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with exposure to multiple tech stacks (e.g., Node.js, PHP, React, cloud infrastructure, databases, DevOps).
- Proven track record in technical leadership, system design, and architecture reviews.
- Strong experience in auditing software systems and development workflows.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Deep understanding of software quality metrics, CI/CD, testing strategies, and scalability principles.
- Strong communication and analytical skills. Able to explain complex technical issues in clear, practical terms.
- Experience working in multi-client or agency-style environments.
- Experience introducing or scaling new tools or practices across teams.
- Solid understanding of data-driven delivery and metrics-based improvement.
