Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Truck Driver (CDL) is responsible for completing local and non-local deliveries of MICA Steelworks materials and products. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 24 months of commercial driving experience
3 to 5 years’ experience delivering manufacturing materials and products preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Truck Driver (CDL) must:
Possess a Commercial Driver’s License, (CDL) Class A, with good driving record.
Minimum 21-years-old
No DUI convictions in last 2 years
No more than 1 preventable accidents in the last 12-month period
No more than 3 moving violations in 3-year period
Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, DOT physical, audiogram, and vision test.

The Truck Driver (CDL) has responsibilities on and off site, including but not limited to:
Loading, driving & unloading delivery trucks
Receiving, shipping & stocking materials and products
Securing cargo for transport
Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered materials and products
Completing commercial deliveries – local and overnight
Reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as, accidents and traffic violations
Maintaining a driver’s daily log
Verifying delivery instructions and routes
Complying with all state, federal and company regulations
Performing other duties in the manufacturing plant, as assigned by Plant Manager in the preparation and/or distribution of various deliveries.
