Job Description
About the Role:
The Project Manager will lead and oversee construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while adhering to all safety and quality standards. This role requires coordinating with multiple stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. They will ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and LEED certification requirements to promote sustainable construction practices. Ultimately, the Project Manager will drive project success by maintaining clear communication, managing change orders effectively, and delivering high-quality construction outcomes that meet client expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects or related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing change orders, submittals, and project documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification.
- Experience with renovation projects in addition to new construction.
- Familiarity with pre-construction planning and budgeting processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) construction market.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and monitor detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project to ensure timely completion of construction phases.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project goals and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee construction safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Manage the preparation, review, and approval of submittals, change orders, and other project documentation to maintain project control and compliance.
- Conduct pre-construction planning and site assessments to identify potential challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
- Supervise renovation and new construction activities, ensuring adherence to building codes and LEED AP standards for sustainable building practices.
- Track project budgets, approve expenditures, and report financial status to senior management regularly.
- Lead project meetings, provide progress updates, and maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
