Dietary Supervisor in Conway, South Carolina at Conway Medical Center

Position Summary:
The Dietary Supervisor (DS) organizes, plans, directs, controls, and supervises functions and personnel within the dietary department to ensure the provision of quality food service and nutritional care. The DS is responsible for supervising the daily operations of production and the production staff. The DS will work with the Director and Assistant Director to establish expectations, plans, and priorities. The DS supervises the selection, training, development, scheduling, coaching and compliance of production staff and will be responsible for compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The DS will actively participate in and coach outstanding customer service.The DS must be willing to report back to work during any emergency situation, this includes if needed during inclement weather, mass casualty, internal disaster, etc. The TLS will complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional food service required.
• Five (5) years’ experience in institutional food service preferred.
• Prior food service supervisor experience in a hospital environment is preferred.

• Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Strong verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to consistently exercise independent judgment required.
