Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The PRS Intensive Case Manager (Level 3) is responsible for completing home studies and post release services using trauma informed care, child welfare practices, and case management for minors and their sponsors within the immigrant and refugee population. The PRS Intensive Case Manager (Level 3) will need to complete detailed assessment reports. PRS Intensive Case Manager (Level 3) will report to the HSPRS Clinical Supervisor and will work with the HS/PRS Program Director, assigned HS/PRS Senior Program Manager, other HS/PRS Caseworkers, local community social service providers, and vulnerable children, and their Sponsors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science; with at least three years’ progressive experience, graduate level licensure or license eligible; or a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of clinical experience and license eligible.
- Candidate must have at least 1 year of direct clinical experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license, in good standing.
- Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, behavioral health counseling, and social service provision is desired.
- Knowledge of trauma-responsive service provision and crisis intervention skills.
- Must be skilled at writing professional, thorough assessment reports.
- Must possess an extensive knowledge of immigrant community local resources.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, a clean driving record, and personal transportation.
- Position requires up to 50 percent long distance travel with limited notice.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to comply with mandatory state reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect.
- Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and displaced people.
- Candidate must pass a criminal background check that includes past history of conviction of child and sexual abuse.
- Possess or be able to obtain CPR and basic first aid certification.
- Demonstrated support of CPLC’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
