About This Position
Summary Description
nbkc is currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team.
As a Senior Staff Accountant you will focus on reviewing general ledger reconciliations, overseeing FinTech billing and reporting, and preparing financial documents. This position requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the FinTech accounting expert, and supporting the onboarding and training of new finance team members. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, over five years of accounting experience, and strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
This position will be @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home).

What you’ll do
- Reviews reconciliations of general ledger and internal bank accounts performed by team members
- Reviews FinTech monthly billing and ensures card network costs are properly reconciled.
- Review and manage the FinTech Monitoring Report monthly.
- Acts as the subject matter expert on FinTech accounting and the liaison between internal and external parties.
- Prepares the quarterly Visa Operating Certificate
- Contributes to quarterly preparation of the Call Report
- Assist with performance evaluation and reviews
- Assist in process of onboarding and training of new Finance Team Members
- Acts as a backup for various functions within the department
- Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to transfer skills/teach, coach and lead others
- Strong mathematical inclination with the ability to make calculations/computation
- Strong detail orientation
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet established deadlines
- Solid communications skills
