Wound Care Clinic Front Office Practice Asst. at Abbeville Area Medical Center – Abbeville, South Carolina

Will be responsible for answering and directing phone calls received at the practice, utilizing excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills. Greets and registers patients upon arrival. Checks insurance eligibility and loads accurate demographics in the practice management (PM) system. Collects co-payments, co-insurance and/or patient balances and posts those payments in the PM. Balances all funds and cash drawer utilizing end-of-day processes. Makes appointments for patients as well as recall management. Check voice mail, messages in the EHR and email. Responds to them in a timely manner, maintains current files, ensuring ease of retrieval.
