PositionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Analyst- DMIR/Customer Source Inspector to join our West Hartford, CT Team. The Quality Analyst will perform source inspection on product in accordance with the specific customer requirements and delegations, and, as a FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) issue Airworthiness Certificates.
Responsibilities•As a FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) issue 8130-3 Airworthiness Certificates for spares, MRO and OE units.
•Source Inspect and release Spares and OE Units and components under Honeywell Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) delegation.
•Source Inspect and release Spares and OE Units and components under Williams International Direct Ship Authority (DSA) delegation.
•Perform Customer Delegated Source Inspection: GE, Honeywell, Rolls Royce, P&WC. As the customer's delegated quality representative responsibilities include review of product and documentation, dimensional inspection of sampled characteristics, generate source inspection records and documentation required to ship the product.
•Perform customer-imposed Source Inspection – review of product and supporting documentation prior to shipping.
•Documents data obtained during all source inspection activities, consistent with company and customers policies and procedures.
•Maintains a working knowledge of government and Customer quality assurance codes and standards.
•Support the creation of First Article Inspection reports for HMUs and ECUs.
•Provide guidance to Bargaining Unit source inspectors.
Qualifications•Associate degree in quality, engineering, or manufacturing field; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Inspection experience (mechanical components) preferred.
•Prior FAA DMIR and/or Delegated Manufacturing Inspection Representative preferred.
•Demonstrated experience in a team environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities.
•Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; continually looking for ways to improve and promote quality; applying feedback to improve performance; and continual monitor or own work to ensure quality.
•Adaptable to changes in the work environment; ability to manages competing demands; willingness to change approach or method to best fit the situation; and ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
•Proficient with MS Office and Windows suites
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical information. Proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
•Must be capable of achieving necessary delegations from customers and FAA and other regulatory bodies;
•Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel.
