Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Hospital Representative to join PATHS, LLC. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations, and contributes excellent assistance to PATHS’ provider clients across multiple states.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Assisting patients in applying for Medical Assistance in the hospital setting, both bedside and at a desk.

· Verify patient health insurance information.

· Accurately document patient information and complete tasks in a timely manner.

· Performing duties such as faxing, filing, emailing, and making phone calls to facilitate completion of applications.

· Completes all required initial PATHS training (HIPAA, compliance, security, client protocols, role-specific workflows) within onboarding timelines.

· Participates in required ongoing training

· Other duties as assigned. *

Requirements: Required Skills & Abilities

• Bilingual: English and Spanish is required.

• Effectively communicate all options in clear and accessible language to promote understanding with patient options.

• Trustworthy, detail oriented, problem solving, research skills and organized.

• Ability to work independently and a part of a team.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including ability to interact with diverse patient populations and healthcare professionals.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information (HIPAA compliance required).

• Ability to meet established productivity and accuracy standards.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Ability to function well in a high-paced healthcare environment and adapt to multiple client sites.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. (if applicable)

• Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Entering patient homes and communicating with people to obtain patient information.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, also, prolonged periods of being on your feet while on site at the hospital

• Transporting supplies to and from client facilities.

• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and car insurance for travel to client sites as required.

Education & Experience

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Knowledge with EPIC recommended but not required.

Pre-Employment Requirements

· Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of applicable screenings consistent with federal, state, and local laws.

· Screenings may include: criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam, PPD screening, and verification of immunization records.

· COVID Vaccination required.

· Employment eligibility will be verified through I-9/E-Verify.

· Because PATHS operates in the healthcare industry, certain screenings (e.g., OIG/GSA exclusion checks, state Medicaid exclusion lists) may be conducted on a recurring basis as required by federal and state law, client contracts, and hospital compliance programs.

Compensation & Benefits

· Compensation: $20.00/hour.

· Benefits include: Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and a 401(k) Plan with company match.
