THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking a dependable and skilled Evening Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This hands-on role plays a key part in maintaining our facilities and responding to service needs during the busy evening hours. The ideal candidate has a strong service mindset, solid maintenance skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
SCHEDULE
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM, 5 days per week
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Operational Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance duties across the resort, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest and team member maintenance requests during evening hours.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, lighting, and appliance issues as needed
- Conduct routine walk-throughs and inspections of assigned areas to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Monitor and report unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions to ensure guest and team safety
- Support preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate records of work performed
- Assist with seasonal or evening projects (e.g., light snow removal, minor grounds tasks) as required
Shift & Team Support
- Work independently during evening shifts while maintaining close communication with the Maintenance Manager and daytime team for smooth handoffs
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Security to ensure timely resolution of guest issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
- Uphold Chetola’s high standards of professionalism, safety, and guest service in every interaction
- Provide backup support for other shifts or emergency coverage as needed

- Safety-minded with strong attention to detail, organization, and guest service
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in general maintenance, facilities, or engineering; resort or hospitality experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively during evening shifts.
- Comfortable working independently and prioritizing service requests with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in a physically active environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular schedule.
