SUMMARY:

Responsible for direction and control of the work standards in the Diagnostic Radiology area. Responsible for personnel in the Diagnostic Radiology area and all procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manages/Monitors patient flow and work performance in designated areas

· Interacts with radiologists and other referring physicians

· Monitors supply inventory and orders supplies when needed

· Requests accessories and other large items through department manager/director

· Evaluates cost containment measures

· Schedules all personnel in responsible areas

· Troubleshoots equipment for responsible area

· Maintains organization and cleanliness of all assigned areas

· Demonstrates new equipment

· Maintains and updates procedure manual

· Performs diagnostic radiology procedures as necessary

· Participates in the interview process as required

· Assists with budget preparation as needed

Qualifications:

Requires current ARRT certification and current SCRQSA license. Ability to supervise and evaluate. Ability to operate radiologic equipment and produce quality images. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization. Three (3) to five (5) years experience in experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
