Director of Shipping at Image One – Little Rock, Arkansas

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and organized Director of Shipping and Value-Added Services to manage our shipping and distribution operations. The Director of Shipping responsibilities include scheduling, tracking shipments, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience with logistics management and should be proficient in relevant logistics software. The role of the Director of Shipping is to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Responsibilities

· Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries

· Supervise logistics, warehouse, and transportation

· Organize warehouse, label goods, and process shipments

· Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations

· Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspectives

· Build relationships within the company and with external parties, like suppliers or distributors

· Understanding and knowledge of safety and compliance procedures

Skills

· Proven leadership skills to guide and oversee the work of the shipping team, ensuring efficient operations and meeting the organization’s shipping objectives

· Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable standards

· Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments, maintain accurate records, and ensure all items are accounted for

· Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve any issues that may impact shipping schedules or the quality of goods being shipped

· Communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments, and to provide clear instructions to team members

· Technical skills to utilize shipping management software and other tools for tracking, scheduling, and reporting

· Physical stamina to manage potentially demanding tasks, including long periods of standing and lifting heavy items as needed

· A keen eye for detail to ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and to inspect outgoing goods for quality and accuracy

Requirements

· Proven experience as shipping manager

· Solid knowledge of logistics software

· Outstanding organizational and coordination skills

· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks

· Degree in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
