POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for guest satisfaction by handling all cash and credit card transactions in an expeditious and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops and maintains positive guest relation.
2. Greets all guests entering the establishment, thanks and invites them back upon leaving.
3. Adheres to company policies and procedures for all cash handling functions.
4. Computes guest check totals with speed and accuracy.
5. Accommodates our guests and employees by giving prompt service.
6. Develops and maintains proper serving techniques.
7. Observes all health regulations and safety precautions.
8. Completes any set-up, closing duties, and side work assigned.
9. Keeps the work area and establishment clean and well maintained.
10. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
11. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
12. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
13. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
14. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
15. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Market and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
16. Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be dependable and reliable.
2. Must be able to interact with the public.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
2. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3. Subject to internal working conditions.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: None

Education Preferred: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).

Experience: Previous experience in cash handling preferred, but not necessary.
Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and submit to drug testing.
