Speech Therapist at Valley County Health System – Ord, Nebraska

Valley County Health System (VCHS) has a PRN (as-needed) opportunity available for a Speech Therapist to join our team! Primary responsibilities include serving VCHS patients in the outpatient and home health departments.

JOB SUMMARY: The responsibilities of the Speech Therapist include assessing and treating swallowing and communication difficulties arising from a variety of causes,e.g. stroke or injury; devising, implementing and revising relevant treatment programs; advising on implementing treatment programs and training other professionals in therapy delivery; assessing communication environments; monitoring and evaluating client's progress; working with clients on a one-to-one basis, and in groups, to deliver therapy; and working with others to improve the overall effectiveness of service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS: • Current Speech Therapist licensure in the State of Nebraska • Provide safe and appropriate care within the standards of practice • Independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills • Demonstrate attention to detail • Maintain CPR certification
