Summary
This is a part time role to prepare meals and maintain & manage the food operations for the residence of Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. The person will work between 20-25 hours a week, Monday – Friday from 8 am-12 pm. The role is onsite at the residence house.
Responsibilities
· Create and gain approval for menus for five (5) days per week, based on available vendor (Costco) food options.
· Preparing meals each day of the work week and prepare some meals to be frozen and used later.
· Purchase food/groceries every week within a set budget.
· Prepare breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for the residence of approximately 25 people. Meals can be prepared and left in the kitchen for the team.
· Receive deliveries of food inventory and maintain stock in pantry, refrigerator, and freezer.
· Manage food inventory, including ensuring low food waste.
· Prepare meals for occasional onsite events.
· General upkeep and cleanliness of kitchen area, pantry, walk in fridge and dining room. Clean and leave the kitchen ready for the next service/day.
· Perform weekly basic cleaning of kitchen and service areas ,including tables and floors
· Show Initiative by creating new and healthy menus.
· Organization and management of food inventory
· Awareness of good, basic nutrition practices
· Reliable and timely
· Experience with menu creation
· Basic knowledge/ability to manage a food budget
· Moderate cooking skills and background. Able to effectively follow a recipe
· Approachable and with has a friendly demeanor
