Job Description

Position Description: The Compounder is responsible for accurately measuring and mixing raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions Job Advertisement:

OnScent manufactures fragrance and natural cosmetic solutions for the fragrance, cosmetic, and personal care industries. We are seeking a Temporary Fragrance Compounder to support our production team for an assignment lasting up to four months.

In this hands-on role, you will accurately weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to fragrance formulas and production instructions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare fragrance batches by accurately weighing and mixing approved raw materials.
• Follow formulas, production instructions, and safety procedures.
• Monitor mixing equipment and temperatures, including heating materials as needed.
• Retrieve materials, label containers, and replenish supplies.
• Maintain clean equipment and organized workstations, and perform routine scale calibration.
• Notify the production lead of missing materials or production issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Understanding of chemical handling and safe work practices.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills, including fractions, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to follow written instructions and communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with BatchMetrics, NetSuite, or similar production systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
• On-site work in a manufacturing environment where strong fragrance odors are present.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds by rolling, pulling, or pushing, using material-handling equipment as needed.
• Availability for overtime, evenings, or weekends as required.
