Impact Sports Manager in Adrian, Michigan at Lenawee Christian School

POSITION SUMMARY.

The Impact Sports Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Centre sports programming. This role is responsible for the vision, development, execution, and continuous improvement of youth and community sports initiatives that align with the Centre’s mission and operating goals.

The Impact Sports Manager oversees staff and volunteers, develops innovative programming, ensures high standards of safety and customer experience, and expands sports offerings in a manner that supports financial sustainability and ministry impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

Strategic Leadership & Program Development

• Cast vision and develop strategic plans for Centre sports programming.
• Design and implement age-appropriate training, league structures, camps, and events.
• Develop innovative programming that supports member growth and community engagement.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust offerings to meet market demand and organizational goals.
• Expand sports programming in alignment with annual operating plans and long-term strategic initiatives.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee planning, scheduling, staffing, and execution of all sports events and leagues.
• Ensure programs are delivered with excellence, professionalism, and safety.
• Maintain compliance with Centre policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor budgets and resource allocation to support program sustainability.

Staff & Volunteer Leadership

• Recruit, train, and supervise coaches, support staff, and volunteers.
• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to ensure program quality.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and Christ-centered service.
• Address conflicts and performance issues in a constructive and God-honoring manner.

Spiritual & Community Engagement

• Develop age-appropriate spiritual lessons integrated into sports programming.
• Equip coaches and staff to incorporate biblical principles into practices and games.
• Serve as the public representative (“face”) of Centre sports programming at events and within the community.
• Build positive relationships with families, participants, and community partners.

Communication & Marketing Support

• Proactively communicate schedules, updates, and program information to parents and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Centre leadership on marketing and promotional efforts.
• Stay informed regarding competing sports programs within Lenawee County to maintain competitiveness and excellence.

Administrative & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records related to program participation and staffing.
• Provide reports and performance updates to the Athletic Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Background/Experience:

• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Demonstrated experience in developing, leading, and executing sports programs or events.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to enforce policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with operational software systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS.

• This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.
• Work schedule includes evenings, weekends, and event days as required.
• Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Centre policies and ministry standards.
